My first Fuji was…
a 2019 gold and black Jari 1.1
I first decided to buy the 1.3 because I wasn’t sure if I like the gravel thing. But wow the golden bike which looked so classy and a little bit back in time... It had to be the golden one!
What kind of impact did cycling have on your life?
Back in the early 2000’s I was riding bmx flatland. Did some competitions, the World’s in Cologne and some jam’s and contests in France. Years later I was more and more interested in mountain biking so I start to focus on this kind of cycling. I became better and better, also the bikes getting more special and more tuned.
Spring 2019 a dream came true and we traveled to Madeira to have a really good time and ride our bikes on that really special island. Unfortunately I ruptured my cruciate ligament on the first day of riding so my holiday was pretty fast done.
I always was a bike girl, so not to ride bike wasn’t an option but it wasn’t possible to ride my mountain bike. I was looking for a option - and there it was- gravel! I started to research the perfect bike, it shouldn’t be to aggressive, more comfortable, light, and not too expensive. The Jari was the perfect match for me!
So a new passion began. I start to riding as much as possible with my injury. After a short time I did some competitions. The best thing I did was a few days bike packing trip by my self across the Ligurien Alps. That was so amazing and such a great experience - wow! Everyone should do this once!
Go riding - it helps you with everything!
