Fuji Signs Jonathan Page to 3-year Deal
April 17, 2013
After signing the 4-time National Cyclocross Champion to an end-of-season deal just before 2013 CX Worlds, Fuji is proud to announce that it has re-signed Jonathan Page to a 3-year sponsorship agreement.
"I'll be on the fastest bikes in the world for the rest of my professional career. Feeling lucky and thankful," said Page to his Facebook and Twitter followers with a picture of the signed contract.
Page will ride Fuji's Altamira CX
platform. With top-end, high-modulus carbon and tubing technology pulled straight from Fuji's flagship, grand tour-winning road bike, the Altamira CX features a tapered head tube, FC-330 fork, BB86 bottom bracket, ETC chainstays, category-leading mud clearance, and a flattened top tube for easy shouldering. Later this season, Page will ride the 2014 Altamira CX Signature Edition, specially designed for Page with stars-and-stripes graphics for the National Champion.
"Jonathan is not only one of the best cross racers in the world; he's a terrific person, who spends hours signing autographs and chatting with fans after a race. He has already brought great value to our sponsorship by giving us excellent product feedback, and we couldn't be more thrilled to continue this relationship," said Fuji Sponsorship Manager Milay Galvez.
The 2012-2013 season for the 36-year-old based in Belgium began slow yet finished in remarkable fashion: a 12th-place finish in Essen, Belgium; a 15th-place finish at the World Cup in Namur; a 7th-place finish at Superprestige Hoogstraten; and a remarkable 4th U.S. National Cyclocross Title in Verona, Wisconsin.
Page's 2013-2014 seasons kicks off this Saturday at the Sea Otter Classic Cyclocross. Fuji will be hosting a signing with Page at its Sea Otter Booth at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
