Gang Xu Wins 5th Chinese National Road Title

Team Champion System's Gang Xu won his 5th Chinese national road title Friday after escaping with 7km to go in the 180km race in
Changsha. Winning by 18 seconds, Xu said after the race, "The time
racing abroad has really made me understand what is being strong-minded
and the desire for victory."
"It's been a tough year for our Chinese riders, as they have traveled to three
continents to compete in some of the world's biggest events against tough
competition," said Champion System General Manager Ed Beamon. "Our mission is to help develop the sport –
especially the athletes from China and Asia. This is a great validation that we
are on the right track."
