Walker just earned his first victory of the season today, at midnight European time, by taking the third stage of the Jayco Bay Classic, held in Australia's Geelong. The FUJI-SERVETTO rider, outsprinted fellow countryman Dean Windsor (Mazda), after the two-man breakaway formed halfway through the stage, and made it to the end in a short, craggy circuit in which the competition was held.
Prior to the Tour Down Under and the Tour de San Luis being ridden, Australians Hilton Clarke and William Walker will be the first ones wearing the new blue colors of the FUJI-SERVETTO team, as part of the bunch riding at the Road Race of the Australian Open Road Cycling Championships, held in Buninyong on January 11th.
