Fuji-Servetto team is presented to the Media

The new team FUJI-SERVETTO, placed into the exclusive UCI ProTour circuit, put on elegant clothes this evening to celebrate their official presentation ceremony. The gathering took place in the BabaYaga discotheque in Italian municipality of Cecina Mare, with ex pro riders Davide Cassani and Paolo Bettini as masters of ceremonies in charge of the “Blue squad” riders' presentation.

Absense of the presentation were injured riders Angel Gomez, Hector Gonzalez and Alberto Fernandez de la Puebla; Davide Vigano and Hilton Clarke who were travelling from Australia to Malaysia to take part in the Tour of Langkawi. 

The team riders -who endured a 4-hour training ride in the morning- received applause from cycling fans, media and worldwide team partners. The team sponsors' representatives addressed the crowd -  Karen Bliss, Director of Marketing at FUJI;  Pietro Nicola, on behalf of SERVETTO; and Andrea Colombo, Assistant Manager from TMC TRANSFORMERS.


First European race

After the official presentation, the FUJI-SERVETTO squad will ride for the first time on European soil this year by heading back to Castagneto Carducci in order to participate in the Gran Premio Costa degli Etrusch, a 1.1-category semiclassic with a plain route of 193 km long.

Stefano Zanini will be the Director Sportief, with riders Eros Capecchi, William Walker, Ricardo Serrano, Jesus del Nero, Alberto Benitez, Boris Shpilevsky, Ermanno Capelli and Josep Jufre.

Headed to the Tour of Lankawi is Alvaro Crespi, Director Sportief, and riders Frederik Kessiakoff, Juanjo Cobo, Arkaitz Duran, Hilton Clarke, Davide Vigano and Daniele Nardello.
